This 1995 318ti Club Sport started its life already unique as one of 3 Club Sports (of 300 made) without a sunroof.  Yank out the 138hp M42 4-banger and put in a US 3.0L M3 S50US B30, tweak it, Rogue Engineering style, and you've just doubled your horsepower.  Used as a daily driver and product testing, it continues to surprise unsuspecting drivers on the road.

"It's easily one of the fastest BMW I've owned", states Ben Liaw.  "It's probably as fast as my last 3.2L powered Ti, but easily faster than any of the E36 M3s I've ever owned."

At less than 2900 lbs. in its current configuration, it has a power to weight ratio better than that of a Euro M3 (which has more HP, but is more than 350 lbs. heavier).
