Construction
The Dixis Spirit E46 M3 exhaust system is entirely made from titanium.  The only parts that is not titanium are the flanges that connect to the intermediate pipe on the vehicle and some of the hardware that connect the exhaust to the factory hangers.  Other than that, everything from the tubing, muffler and tips are titanium.

Because of some of the very tight radius bends, you will notice that some areas of the exhaust have multiple pieces of titanium creating the bend.  The pieces are meticulously TIG welded with welding beads that speak of true craftsmanship.  This is the kind of quality one would expect from a product from Japan. 

Each exhaust is completely fabricated to order.  In other words, Dixis Japan does not stock these systems, nor can they produce them in any quantity.  Each exhaust system takes approximately 2-3 weeks to produce.  Add another week for shipping (by air courier) and you're waiting more than a month for this product.  Dixis can only physically produce approximately 15 exhausts per year! 

Features
When Rogue Engineering originally commissioned Dixis to produce these exhausts, we asked them to make a few, subtle changes from the versions that had already been seen in the US.  First, we changed the tip OD to 76mm (3") from the original 70mm size.  Secondly, we specified that the ends of the tips not be blued from the burning process.  The end result tip design that fills out the factory rear valence area better, and shows better without the blued ends. 

Specifications
At a scant 14 pounds (yes, only FOURTEEN pounds), it is 38 pounds LIGHTER than the stock OEM exhaust system.  Because the muffler body is much smaller than the OEM system, it also cannot muffler the same amount of sound as stock.  If you're looking to add a unique sound to your E46 M3, look no further.  Exhaust volume is controlled by your right foot!  Step on it for maximum grins or ease into the throttle to sneak by the police officer.  The choice is yours!  

As to the actual sound itself, think Honda CBR600RR (yes, the motorcycle). The tone is not for the faint of heart, or those even trying to pass their car off as stock.  If you want more volume from your exhaust, this is the ticket!

Availability
Rogue Engineering has placed orders with Dixis to try to stock a few of these exhaust in the US, for those that absolutely cannot wait.  Because of their limited production, we are accepting deposits for those willing to wait for these one-of-a-kind systems.  While most of your buddies pull up with the latest Borla, Eisenmann, B&B Triflo or even Supersprint system, you'll most likely be the ONLY one with this titanium work of art melodiously announcing the S54 rpms in your M3.
