Performance Software
Tuning by Oberscheider Chip Tuning
Rogue Engineering is proud to be the
official Oberscheider Chip Tuning (O.CT) dealer for the NY/NJ/CT
Metro area. With O.CT's IPRO software flashing unit, your vehicle's
engine control systems to be programmed via the Diagnostic Interface (OBD
II). The most up-to-date tuning data, specially tuned to your vehicle, are
provided via the Internet. No more software sitting "on the
shelf", only the latest available on the O.CT servers at the time of
the upgrade. This means seamless upgrades, completely without even
removing the ECU from your vehicle. Just say NO to splicing in
piggyback computers into your factory wiring harness (which voids the
factory warranty). Say NO to ECU removal for IC chip removal and
soldering.

Whereas Rogue Engineering's outward focus
has been on BMW vehicles, O.CT allows Rogue Engineering's local European
customers (Porsche, Audi, VW, Mercedes Benz) to benefit from O.CT software
upgrades.

Beyond the Numbers
Whereas the increases in performance are always nice on paper, what
sets O.CT software apart from all others is its ability to tune its
software to match the factory performance curve. When comparing to
other companies offerings, this is hard to "quantify" since
other companies may tune for a very high maximum gain, but kill the
vehicle's drivability in the process.
Important Note! Vehicles looking for O.CT performance software MUST have stock programming installed. Previous company software CANNOT have been installed as some software companies offer the ability to return to "stock" by simply turning down their existing programming. If you are unsure, you must go to the dealership to have real factory programming reinstalled (charges may apply).
The Upgrade Process
The O.CT Tuning IPRO System takes simple ECU Flash Tuning to a whole new level. The diagram above gives you an idea of how the system works. For vehicles where there is currently software available, the process couldn't be easier. Once your vehicle arrives at the Rogue Engineering, the handheld IPRO Touchscreen is connected to your vehicle via the On-Board-Diagnostic Port. With a few touches of the screen, the new software data is "flashed" into your vehicle's ECU and you are set to enjoy your new found power.
Should your vehicle not be in the current database, all is not lost. What would happen at this is we would still bring your vehicle in for the flash, but first, O.CT needs the base code to work with. How does O.CT get the base code you ask, it is very simple actually. We would hook up a new vehicle in the same way, pull the base code via the IPRO which in turn sends that file to O.CT Headquarters and the country importer. Should the importer not have the new vehicle files in their master database, the file is automatically dumped into the "to program" system. Once that is received, a new file is written and sent back to the IPRO Touchscreen that called for it and from that point, the software gets flash loaded into the vehicle. Generally speaking, this process takes less than 48 hours. This way, you are guaranteed the absolutely newest software revision for your vehicle.
