Rogue
Engineering Fixed Camber Plates

The Rogue Engineering Fixed Camber
Plates are an inexpensive, easy way of improving the handling of
your BMW. These fixed front camber plates increase the
negative camber, reducing understeer and improving turn in.
A Tale of Improved Handling
One of the most popular vehicles to come through Rogue
Engineering's facility is probably the BMW E46 M3. A very
capable car in stock form, we pride ourselves in making this very
popular BMW handle better and go faster. When we start looking
at specific information about the setup of the vehicle, in stock
form, the factory alignment settings are shown in the chart
below. See the yellow, highlighted section referring to the
"front camber" range.

A feature of the E46 strut tower is
the incorporation of their "crash slots". These
slots have been incorporated into the front strut towers to allow
for the left and right alignment specs to be even, in the case of
uneven left/right specifications. (accidents, suspension component
wear, bushing wear). Assuming "perfect" left/right
alignment, removal of the strut mount "pin", and moving
the strut mounts completely inwards, you can gain an additional
0.5º of camber (further improving handling). Theoretically,
this allows for the front camber to be -1.8º (mounts puts
completely inwards) to -1.2º (mounts pulled to the outsides).

Adding the Rogue Engineering Fixed
Camber plates (E46 M3 version) adds 0.62º of camber, which change
the front camber valves to the following:

For those looking for the most
handling, having this additional negative camber means quicker times
at the track, better turn-in at the auto-x, and getting the most out
of the handling of your BMW. Depending on your BMW model, your
alignment results can vary.
