Rogue Engineering Wheel Pin/Wheel Hanger

These wheel pins (also known as wheel hangers) are probably our favorite tool when it comes to installing and removing wheels in our shop!  Since BMWs use lug bolts (vs. lug nuts), there is nothing holding the wheel up when you install or remove the wheel.  These make wheel changes much more convenient!

Super easy to use!  We typically use a pair per wheel to make things easier.  Here's how...

Remove two lug bolts.  We usually remove the upper most ones on the wheel. 

Thread in the wheel pin by hand, usually a few turns.  4-5 turns is usually enough.

Remove the remaining lug bolts.  If the wheel is stuck, use persuasion to remove.

Remove wheel.  You can leave the pins in place when you reinstall the wheel.

These pins are made of Grade 8.8 steel and are approximately 5" long.  The have a 12 x 1.5mm thread on the end, to match most BMW lug bolts.  Does NOT fit X5 or most 7-series BMWs.
