Finally available for release is the 2M Autowerks E46 M3 GTR widebody kit! Painstaking efforts to bring a dimensionally accurate kit as this was designed from the ground up, entirely created, modified, and redone countless times to make sure this fits just right!
Some common questions which we will answer here;
Will this only fit E46 M3 coupe bodies?
No! This kit is designed to fit all E46 coupe bodies including 325/330s. Not convertibles at this time.
How much modification is requires for the body parts?
Whereas the front fender and bumpers are complete replacements, the rear flares do not require the quarters to be repainted. The quarter lips need to be modified (cut) and resealed but no repainting of the quarter itself needs to be done. Only the flares would have to be painted.
If I select the rear bumper option, can I get it with exhaust cutouts?
The rear bumper is designed to be accurate to the actual GTR. The rear GTRs had exhaust pipes that exited out of the passenger side of the vehicle.
Are the back of the flares solid or cut out and screened in with mesh?
Either can be chosen during ordering.
Where is the kit produced?
The widebody parts are made to order in San Diego, CA at 2M Autowerks facility. Anticipate 6-8 week lead times after ordering.
What is the kit made from?
The kit is made from fiberglass.
What wheels fit this kit?
This has been the most challenging part of the creation of the kit. By collaborating with Rogue Engineering, we have been able to offer the correct offset wheels specifically for this kit. The front wheels are 18x10 ET5 while the rears are 18x11 ET-20. No spacers are required to be used when using these specially designed, flow formed wheels.
Can I put this on a street car or do I have to built it into a track car?
This kit offers a lot of options in this regard. You can use as much or as little as you like. For example, for a "Street GTR", you can use the most minimum number of pieces (front bumper, both front fenders and rear flares) to achieve a widebody street car. No wing, no rear bumper, no vented hood, no CF roof!
