If you are a serious track or a racer in an S65 powered car, pay close attention! While the S65 is a great engine, be prepared!
A few shortcomings that the E9X M3 has for true enthusiasts;
Oil starvation in high-G turns
No ability to check oil levels manually
Lack of oil pressure at high RPMs (look up SRD)
Oil drain plugs that seem to strip threads on their own
Main bearing issues and concerns
Rod bearings!
Throttle actuators!
Refurbished S65 oil pan with the following upgrades;
Advanced Auto Fabrication oil pan baffle (welded by AAF)
Bimmerworld Oil Pan dip stick (also welded by AAF)
Vapor blasted cleaned
About the Core Fee
Core charge mandatory.
Core return MUST be sent back within 30 days of receipt of our oil pan or core return not accepted.
Cores will be inspected upon arrival.
Broken/cracked oil pans not accepted as cores. Stripped oil drain plugs ok.
