Rogue Engineering is proud to introduce our E46 M3 Rasp Pipe, the sensible way of getting rid of that nasty factory exhaust rasp. Finally, you can truly enjoy the sound of your M3 without the annoying, Honda Civic-buzzing-like rasp of the exhaust at the higher RPMs found in US-model E46 M3s. A perfect compliment to our E46 M3 X-Pipe

Rogue Engineering RASP Pipe (Ver 2.0) and the factory OEM Section 1
Version 2; Changing with the times
For many years, we have been successfully selling our V1 RASP pipe for E46 M3 owners. So popular was that many others were trying out their own version. However, tuning out specific exhaust sounds is more than just "stick that resonator in there" kind of development. Sometimes it may even work, but often times, it requires tweaking for just the right sound.
As the E46 M3 approaches its 20 year anniversary (in 2021), factory OEM items like catalytic converters start to require replacement. Whereas replacement manifolds (with catalytic converters) are expensive, some have chosen the header option. By doing this, the exhaust sound instantly increases in volume and a RASP pipe is no longer as effective as before. For our track customers that attend tracks with specific dB limits, this was also a concern as their track-going vehicles were blowing pass track limits. Therefore, we had to come up with a new version.
Our V2 changed from a dual, separate resonator section to a single, muffler-style solution. Now we have a RASP pipe that provided both more flow (2.5" pipes vs. 2" factory) but could control more sound (larger overall volume with the single muffler).
