Hardware Kit
Rogue Engineering is proud to introduce our E46 M3 Rasp Pipe, the sensible way of getting rid of that nasty factory exhaust rasp. Finally, you can truly enjoy the sound of your M3 without the annoying, Honda Civic-buzzing-like rasp of the exhaust at the higher RPMs found in US-model E46 M3s. A perfect compliment to our E46 M3 X-Pipe and El Diablo exhaust system.

Version 3; Always evolving
For many years, we have been successfully selling our V1 RASP pipe for E46 M3 owners. So popular was that many others were trying out their own version. However, tuning out specific exhaust sounds is more than just "stick that resonator in there" kind of development. Sometimes it may even work, but often times, it requires tweaking for just the right sound.

Version 1 - Dual 57mm tubes (OEM is 50mm), dual resonators (3.5" OD)
Version 2 - Dual 63.5mm tubes, single muffler/resonator
Version 3 - Dual 63.5mm tubes, dual resonators (4" OD)

For Version 3.0 we went back to the dual resonators to keep the flow separate for cars with higher HP as well as cars that maintain high RPMs (like tracked cars). The dual resonator format seems to fair better than the single muffler style resonator in these cases.

As the E46 M3 approaches its 20 year anniversary (in 2021), factory OEM items like catalytic converters start to require replacement. Whereas replacement manifolds (with catalytic converters) are expensive, some have chosen the header option. By doing this, the exhaust sound instantly increases in volume and a RASP pipe is no longer as effective as before. For our track customers that attend tracks with specific dB limits, this was also a concern as their track-going vehicles were blowing pass track limits.

A common sight; OEM hardware from Section 1 and Section 2

Fits 2001-2006 E46 M3. Does NOT modify US-emission vehicles.
