The Rogue Engineering E46 M3 Thermostat Housing Diverter is a motorsport derived part that is a cooling requirement for those no longer using their heater core. In order to describe how it works, you must first purchase the
Bimmerworld S54 Heater Core Delete Kit. The thermostat is also removed and no longer used.
After the heater core is deleted, the coolant must effectively flow through the water pump and onwards to the cooling system. However, the thermostat housing has a part that splits the coolant to the heater core and the radiator. By removing this piece and replacing it with our part, it can move coolant 100% to the radiator.
Installation requires removal of the thermostat housing.

We are going to remove this small bell shaped part...
Using an M10 deep socket, remove the bolt holding the bell in place.
The bell is easily removed now.
Using a small bit of Loctite 242 on the threads, install the new diverter.
New part installed!
