The early model F8X vehicle has an Achilles heel with the rear subframe differential bushing. Vehicles produced up to 7/2018 had rubber bushings which are known to crack. BMW updated the bushing towards the end of production with a urethane version which provided similar NVH but with longer lasting life.
Our bushing tool helps "shrink" the updated rear subframe bushing to be able to install. It can be used multiple times as it is machined from 6061 aluminum.
