What makes this the "ultimate"? Let's start with the pins themselves. CNC machined from Ti-6AL-4V (Grade 5 titanium), it is stronger than 100% commercially pure titanium. This means that the strength can withstand more than the typical aluminium wheel pins on the market made from 6061 aluminum. The raw machined finish offers a high quality look which is also corrosion resistance.
The set of pins are encased on a custom-made, leather pouch. The leather is tanned with plant-based oils, to preserve the hide. Without the tanning process, the hide is biologically unstable...it can decompose, stiffen (when wet) and brittle (when it gets too dry). The pouch is then laser marked on the back with the pin size (M12x1.5, M14x1.5 and M14x1.25) with the RE logo on the front. The flap is cleverly designed to cover the pins and fold under the middle strap.
