The BMW S54 engine is becoming increasingly more popular with other BMW swaps. One such swap is into the E36 chassis. Since the US market did not get the individual throttle body engines from Europe from 1995-99 (the S50B30 and S50B32), putting in the potent S54 is the revenge we all have been wanting to do.

To make things a little easier, we asked our partners at CSF to produce a special radiator for those of use tackling the swap. Whereas other OEM parts can be used during the project, we always want our available parts to last longer and perform better than OEM.

The RE/CSF Radiator

Many years ago when we collaborated with them to produce the now best-selling E46 M3 oil cooler, we started working on more and more ideas. Now we enjoy a partnership with CSF that allows us to create more unique products for enthusiasts like yourself.

CSF custom builds these E36 radiators specifically for Rogue Engineering and is designed specifically for E36s with S54 engines. Features over OEM radiators include;

These radiators are designed to fit into the factory mounting locations, but also allow for items such as electric fans to be mounted.

Oil Cooler and parts

Although the OEM oil cooler can be mounted, we always opt for a more robust solution. The RE/CSF E46 M3 oil cooler was designed to fit with this radiator, but any oil cooler with OE attachment should fit. An oil cooler duct is also recommended for maximum oil cooling efficiency, such as the OEM MZ3 version (BMW # 51 71 2 492 669) or fabricate one.
